A note from the depths…

I haven’t performed my songs that much lately, but I am very deep in the process of making a retrospective album, re-recording songs from my Snailhouse catalog (1995-2011) under my “new” name to celebrate 30+ years since I started making music publicly. It’s a monstrosity, but only in the best way: full of wonderful collaborations and magical reconnections. More on that in good time.

Of course I’ve also been busy as usual with extracurricular activities. I did some pretty major touring playing guitar for Al Nicol (whose wonderful new record is out now), and I’ve been doing shows and also working towards recordings with Land of Talk.

In the meantime, two records that I contributed to majorly in the last year have been released, and they deserve your ears. I mixed and performed on both of these records. Mickii Bellier and Justin Karas are both dear friends and incredible songwriter-musicians… please go listen to the links below.

Also – back in September, I was involved in the fun making this sweet track with Julie Doiron, Land of Talk, and Dany Placard. Driven by the enthusiastic goading of Ken Shipley of Numero Group, we wrote and tracked this song all inside one late summer day. I would be remiss not to mention Colleen “Coco” Collins who was instrumental in the lyric brainstorming and psychic birthing of this piece of music.
