I’ve just wrapped up production of a new full-length, which won’t see the light of day until at least a year or so from now. I’m excited for people to hear it, but in the meantime there’s lots of work still to do in bringing Tambourine Death Bed and Singer Songer to the world. I can’t help but feel these records haven’t reached all the people that want to hear them. So, watch for shows throughout the summer and beyond.
Singer Songer sees Feuerstack and his “associates” take his wry storytelling and sonic picture-making in new directions, with a fresh vocalist on each track. The result is enjoyably cohesive, even as your ears shift from Devon Sproule’s dreamy reverie to a wistful shuffle from Constantines’ Bry Webb, and the Weakerthans’ John K. Samson is instantly recognizable on the character piece Friday Night Guard.
